Mobile Antenna Springs

A mobile antenna spring dampens vehicle vibrations while travelling and reduces stress upon antenna components. These springs are available to order separately.

1570 Spring with M10 Thread

1570 stainless steel spring
The drilled bolt and washer included with the 1570 stainless steel spring allows the antenna feeder cable to pass through the centre of the spring and exit through the bolt.

This spring is available as another mounting option for these antenna models :

GRHFC mobile antenna for 148-174 MHz.
GIDM90T cellular mobile phone antennas.
50 mm tall x 20 mm diameter.
M10 thread both ends.
Includes drilled bolt and spring washer for mounting to a bracket.

MS Spring with 5/16"-26 TPI Thread

MS stainless steel spring
The MS medium duty stainless steel spring with 5/16”-26 TPI male and female threads will suit any mobile whip being mounted on to our OB-2 type antenna bases. Screw the spring onto the base and the whip onto the spring.

This spring is available as another mounting option for these antenna models:

All M and MB series whips.
M11T, M12T, M21T, M22T whips.
CR36 AM/FM radio mobile antenna.
SM39 scanning whip.
60 mm tall x 20 mm diameter.
5/16"-26 TPI male and female threads.

1269 Spring with ½"-12 BSW Thread

1269 stainless steel beehive spring
A high quality heavy duty electro-polished stainless steel beehive spring, the 1269 has been used successfully on our popular SGDB cellular mobile phone antennas for decades.

This spring is available as an option to mount the BFB1 mobile antenna for 70-85 MHz.

105 mm tall x 45 mm diameter.
½”-12 BSW thread both ends.
Includes a ½”-12 BSW bolt and spring washer for mounting to a bracket.
1270 Spring with ½"-12 BSW Thread
1270 stainless steel barrel spring
Our strongest most rigid heavy duty steel barrel spring, the 1270 is ideal for vehicle mounting very tall antennas such as our
2.2 metre Max-Gain TC1600 cellular mobile phone models. Highly recommended when usual driving conditions are very rough.

This spring is another option to mount the BFB1 mobile antenna for 70-85 MHz.

105 mm tall x 35 mm diameter.
½”-12 BSW thread both ends.
Includes a ½”-12 BSW bolt and spring washer for mounting to a bracket.

1269 Spring with 7102D Drilled Bolt

1269 stainless steel beehive spring with 7102D drilled bolt
The 1269 heavy duty electro-polished stainless steel beehive spring can also be ordered with the 7102D drilled bolt and spring washer.

This drilled bolt allows the antenna feeder cable to pass through the centre of the spring and exit through the bolt.

Now you can use this large beehive spring to mount any of the GIDM series UHF mobile antennas to a bracket on a vehicle.
Spring 105 mm tall x 45 mm diameter.
½”-12 BSW thread both ends.
7102D ½”-12 BSW drilled bolt and spring washer for mounting to a bracket.
3050 Adaptor
3050 Adaptor
This 3050 brass adaptor has a 1”-14 UNS Male thread one end and ½”-12 BSW thread the other end.

You may remove the folding Deck Mount base from any of our Marine Antennas.

Then, using the 3050 adaptor, you can CONVERT that deck mount antenna top into :
1) A Mobile Antenna by screwing the 3050 adaptor into the 1269 or 1270 spring, or
2) A Bracket Mount by securing the 3050 adaptor into the hole of a bracket using a
½”-12 BSW nut and spring washer, or
3) A Mast Mount using the 4266 Threaded Mast Mount Adaptor.
Note however that the other alternative here is to use the MMA Mast Mount Adaptor tube instead. The 3050 adaptor will then not be required. See the Marine Antenna Mounts page for details.
Similarly, the TC1600 cellular mobile phone antenna top can be removed from the barrel spring and converted to a Mast or Bracket mount Base Station antenna.
