Called DEBEGLASS, this unique wire has numerous significant characteristics that make it a clear first choice for guying either Antenna Towers, Poles or Masts :

The Debeglass manufacturing process is relatively new technology. High tensile fibreglass yarn is bound into a compact circular cross section. The bound yarn is then sheathed inside a special blue UV stabilised PVC jacket.
There are 6 different diameters of guy wire available ranging from 4 mm up to 12 mm, as shown in the table below.
The tension strength yield of the thinnest 4 mm diameter Debeglass wire is 430 kg, stronger than steel wire of the same diameter and also around 30% lighter.
DEBECLIP terminators are available to suit each different diameter. Requiring just a screwdriver and spanner, terminating guy wire in the field has never been easier ! Alternatively, other non-debeglass brand terminators can still be used.
For guying masts, ZCG Scalar can assemble a complete DEBEGLASS GUY KIT to suit the particular mast involved. Contact us for further details.

In the event of a lightning strike to your antenna mast, prevent dangerous high voltage from reaching the ground through guy wires with these porcelain insulators.
Generally two insulators are fitted on each guy wire; one near the top of the antenna mast and another half way down the length of the guy wire.
