UHF Mobile Whips, 400 to 520 MHz, 6.2 dBi gain
These UHF whips offer excellent performance with 6.2 dBi gain. Factory tuned in various 20 MHz segments, they can be fitted to any antenna base with 5/16"–26 TPI thread. The mounting location may be mobile on a vehicle or some other fixed location.
For mobile use on a vehicle, the "MS Base" medium duty stainless steel spring is available to dampen vibrations while travelling. The MGB-OB magnetic antenna base is another useful mounting option.
The antenna mounting base will require a metal ground plane for effective performance.
- The "M" series stainless steel UHF whips have a phasing coil, brass ferrule and black powder coated finish. They are totally corrosion and rust proof and will survive long term, even in the most hostile environment.
- The "MB" series UHF fibreglass whips are constructed with copper braid, black heat shrink covering and chrome plated brass ferrule. They are more suited to rough conditions where severe vibration is often encountered.
All these ZCG Scalar 6.2 dBi gain UHF whips come factory tuned to less than 1.5:1 VSWR across the stated 20 MHz bandwidth.

M45T Highly Flexible UHF Whip, trim to the desired frequency in range 400 to 520 MHz, 17 cm tall, 2.1 dBi gain
Just 17 cm tall with 2.1 dBi gain, M45T is a highly flexible UHF whip ideally suited in situations where rough treatment and hard knocks will be commonplace.
Virtually unbreakable, construction consists of a multistranded stainless steel core, UV stabilised heatshrink covering and chrome plated brass ferrule.
Mount the whip to any antenna base with 5/16"–26 TPI thread. A metal ground plane is necessary.
Trim in the field to the desired frequency within the UHF range 400 to 520 MHz using an SWR meter.
