In the event of a lightning strike, protecting your expensive transmitter from a potentially destructive power surge is obviously an important precaution.
A coaxial power surge protector installed in the cable line will give your transmission equipment the best chance of survival.
A ground earthing kit is vitally important as well.

POWER and SWR METER
The Avair Model AV-1000 Power and SWR Meter is for HF, VHF, UHF and 23 cm. This is an insertion type RF wattmeter and can be permanently fitted into a transmission system for continuous monitoring of station working conditions.
It has identical styling with other models in the range and has a large clear meter for easy measurement readings. The unit can be operated without external power, however the built-in lamp for illumination requires an external 13.8 volt DC power supply.
Average or PEP measurements can be accessed at the switch of a button. The AV-1000 is an ideal choice to replace two or three separate meters limited to different bands. Operating instructions are provided with the meter.

DUMMY LOADS
UP TO 3 GHz, N-MALE CONNECTOR, 50 OHM
The purpose of a Dummy Load (also known as a Termination Load) is to absorb RF energy and convert it into heat. The dummy load takes the place of an antenna during transmitter testing and adjustment. Other applications where dummy loads are used include hybrid couplers, isolators, circulators, system testing and calibration.

VHF and UHF bandpass filters from DCI are available in 4-, 6-, 8- or 10-poles, depending on the selectivity required. DCI filters are passive and can be used in both the TX and RX pass. They are DC-grounded on both inputs and outputs for additional lightning protection. The filters come standard with type "N" connectors, with other types of connectors being optional.
Low Pass Filters
Low pass filters are typically used on transmitter outputs to reduce harmonics and broadband noise, and on receiver inputs to reduce fundamental overload from higher frequency transmitters. DCI lowpass filters have extremely low loss (0.1 dB) with an estimated power handling capability of 2 KW.
Broadband Duplexers
DCI broadband duplexers have steeper skirt selectivity than most duplexers on the market and are used where 800 MHz trunking systems coexist with cellular systems. They provide excellent separation between services, reduce broadband transmitter noise and reduce desense.
Multiple-window Filters
Multiple window filters are used where multiple transmit and receive bands exist and there are multiple receivers and transmitters in each band.
Transmitter Combiners
DCI's strength in this market is the design and fabrication of custom devices where your needs are not met by off-the-shelf models. We will work with you to define your specifications and provide custom solutions at reasonable prices. We can provide you with the best balance of isolation and power loss for your application.
Tower-top Amplifiers
Tower-top amplifiers achieve excellent sensitivity by using very low noise (0.6 dB NF) LNA's while maintaining better-than-average intermod immunity through the use of very sharp, low-loss filtering.
Discrete-component Filters
Discrete component filters provide a wider variety of filter types and bandwidths than is attainable with cavities or helical resonators. They can be made in low pass, high pass, bandpass and bandstop versions at almost any frequency and passband width.
